Ordering granite made easy!
- If you haven't chosen a particular stone as yet, but would like an idea of cost, the next stage is to draw up a plan marked with dimensions. You can do this yourself, but unless the plan is fairly basic, we'd recommend you ask a reputable designer or kitchen fitter to produce one for you. Once you have the drawing, please email it to us at enquiries@graniteman.co.uk or fax it on 01273 623265.
(NB: Please remember to include your contact details – it is surprising how many people forget)
We will then work out an estimated cost based on a mid-range material. This may vary a little once you've made your final selection, but will give you a very good idea of what to expect.
- On the other hand, if you already know which stone you would like, we’ll give you a cost based on your plan straight away. The same requirements and contact details as above apply please.
Either way, if you’re happy with our estimate we'll then need three things:
- your go-ahead in writing
- a 50% deposit
- a date for us to template, allowing us at least two weeks notice
We will then visit you to make a precisely measured template on the agreed date. Please bear in mind that in reality dimensions sometimes alter from the original plan, and some price adjustments may occur based on the actual template.
Once we've templated (and any possible price adjustments have been agreed), our turnaround time to fitting the granite or marble is usually 7-10 working days.
Something to note
Fitting stone is an extremely precise art. In the case of kitchen worktops, there are some things we as specialists know that even the most experienced kitchen fitter may not. For this reason, when we send you our original quote, we'll also include a Guide for Kitchen Fitters and Designers. This sets out all the considerations and requirements that will make the job run smoothly and efficiently. Please make sure your designer or fitter has read the guide thoroughly to avoid potential pitfalls and delays.
